First UH Biotechnology Course Offered This Fall
Biotechnology Regulatory Environment (BTEC 2320) is the first course developed by the UH College of Technology’s Center for Life Sciences Technology (CLiST). UH's proposed biotechnology degree program is expected to receive final confirmation from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board by next summer. |

December 2006
Rupa Iyer, Ph.D., Director of Biotechnology Programs and Research Associate Professor at the College of Technology received a grant of $121,800 from the National Science Foundation. The grant titled “From Nature to Lab to Production- Infusing Cutting Edge Research into Undergraduate Biotechnology Curriculum” will support the development of two undergraduate biotechnology laboratory courses. The project based laboratory curriculum is developed in collaboration with academic and biotech industry partners. Further information is available at the NSF website. |
