A.J. Moore Academy prepares students to excel academically, intellectually, and socially in post-secondary education and in engineering, business, entrepreneurship, or technology careers, including careers in medical technology.

	Michael E. DeBakey High School for Health Professions 3100 Shenandoah St. Houston, TX 77021 hs.houstonisd.org/debakeyhs A public magnet school that focuses on education for the health professions. It is a partnership between the Houston Independent School District and the Baylor College of Medicine and offers courses in health science technology.

Regional Biotech is a uniquely-designed learner centered laboratory program. Regional Biotech offers hands-on learning opportunities for middle and high school students in biotechnology principles and practices at the University of Texas - Pan American (UTPA). The program is supported by funding from a Science Education Partnership Award (SEPA) from the National Center for Research Resources at the National Institutes of Health and a grant from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Administered by the Clinical Laboratory Sciences Program of UTPA, Regional Biotech offers Rio Grande Valley schools an opportunity to enhance their bioscience education programs by including practical experiences for their students through specially designed curricula.
