The Center for Life Sciences Technology Consortium (CLSTC) is a state-wide entity made up of regionally concerned stakeholders working in partnership with the Center for Life Science Technology (CLiST). The work of the Consortium is industry-needs-driven, multi-level, and multi-disciplinary. It focuses on the production of a workforce proficient in the knowledge and skills needed to support existing and future biotech and life science companies in the state of Texas.
The CLiST Consortium is founded on the concept of a free and public exchange of data, information and knowledge among its members. It promotes curriculum sharing and collaboration to promote a planned continuum of education and training programs between the district, college and university levels for students, teachers, incumbent workers, and others interested in the sector. The planned programs span a number of key disciplines and training levels and are targeted at producing entry-level technicians, technologists, science-engineers and junior-management staff. Training will include certification, re-certification and advanced technician training programs.
