There are numerous opportunities for education in biotechnology in Texas. The Center for Life Sciences Technology is affiliated with the biotechnology program on the University of Houston's main campus, which offers two tracks - bioprocessing and bioinformatics.

Biotechnology studies in other parts of the state include those at high schools, community colleges, universities and graduate and medical schools. Some of these colleges have been generous to share their curricula publicly for purposes of information and education.
